Welcomed by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), this initiative is part of a broader effort to promote a more connected and open Africa. In recent months, Burkina Faso has also adopted measures to facilitate access to its territory for African citizens, reflecting a growing commitment to easing movement between countries on the continent.
Beyond the administrative aspects, these decisions embody a vision for the future based on trust, cooperation, and bringing people closer together. They serve as a reminder that African integration is not based solely on economic exchanges but also on the opportunity for citizens to meet, share their experiences, and build common projects together.
By further opening their borders to Africans, Togo and other countries on the continent are helping to advance the ideal of a more united, autonomous, and cohesive Africa, capable of celebrating its diversity while strengthening its shared destiny.
