Earlier Today, on the Truth Social network, President Trump issued a serious warning to the nearly 10 million residents of the Iranian capital. “Everyone should evacuate Tehran immediately,” he warned.
CNN reported that the President had summoned national security personnel to the Situation Room, the White House crisis management room. The President abruptly left the G7 meeting.
Shortly after Trump’s statement, the G7 leaders issued a joint statement affirming that “Israel has the right to defend itself” and “the importance of protecting civilians.”
Clearly, civilians must be protected. Moreover, this idea of self defend is reciprocal for Iran, which has also the right to defend itself and protect civilians.
But this way of thinking and managing the current conflict will encourage an escalation of attacks and destruction of civilians on both sides.
The G7 leaders should instead demonstrate to Iran that they respect the will of their respective peoples. They should put their efforts into diplomatic means to resolve this crisis. Since people in Europe and America no longer want to live in fear and terror of another war, they want peace and prosperity.
History cannot be understood only as a collection of “external” events determined by the principle of causality. Sometimes, from the Depths of human consciousness, a force erupts that overcomes all determinism. (Source: Europe for Peace)
The G7 leaders should rethink their way of thinking to resolve conflicts. They should listen to this force of human consciousness that seeks the path for evolution. We no longer live in a bipolar world. The world in which all leaders were trained has disappeared; they must think and do things completely differently.
In fact, they should instead direct their actions and energy towards activities that converge with other cultures and peoples. If they succeed in this work, the world will ultimately be guided by truly democratic forces that respect the will of the people to overcomes the determinism of the cycle of violence and destruction.
Convergence is not a simple calculation of convenience or a question of numbers. It is the key to breaking the spell of fragmentation. It is about adopting a new mentality, far from the ‘I am right, you are wrong’ approach. It is the seed of a new culture. Converging means abandoning the old logic of personalism, opportunistic calculations, individualism, and competition.
