Binalonan, Pangasinan – May 30, 2025 — The 3rd Research Innovation for Sustainable Education (RISE) 2025: International Conference on Research & Exhibits on Aviation, Aeronautics, Tourism, Engineering, and Education (ICREATE-IMPACT) concluded its three-day event with an inspiring awarding ceremony and commitment to sustainability.
Hosted at WCC Aeronautical and Technological College, Binalonan Campus, RISE 2025 brought together researchers, educators, and innovators from higher education institutions (HEIs) both locally and internationally. The conference served as a platform to exchange groundbreaking ideas and foster partnerships aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event featured concurrent sessions encompassing diverse research areas: Aviation & Aeronautics, Business, Finance and Management, Engineering and Technology, Social Science, Arts and Humanities, Education Technology, Criminal Justice Education Technology and Public Administration, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and Health Technology. These sessions showcased innovative research and forward-thinking projects that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This prestigious international conference saw participation from numerous higher education institutions including Baguio Central University, World Citi Colleges (WCC), University of Luzon, Pangasinan State University, Lyceum-Northwestern University, Universidad de Dagupan, Pangasinan Polytechnic College, and many others, fostering a dynamic environment for academic exchange and collaborative innovation.
Third Day Highlights: Synthesis, Commitment, and Recognition
The final day began with an opening prayer followed by a comprehensive synthesis of key discussions and insights from the preceding sessions. This synthesis was delivered by Dr. Sonny Soriano, Director of the Office of External Affairs and Linkages of Urdaneta City University. Dr. Soriano emphasized the significant interdisciplinary contributions shared throughout the conference, particularly in advancing education, technology, and sustainable development.

Representatives from various HEIs then delivered statements of support, reaffirming their dedication to collaborative research and innovation. A symbolic highlight of the day was the RISE 2025 SDG Commitment Wall Signing Ceremony, where SDG chairs and institutional representatives pledged to advance research that directly supports sustainable development across their disciplines.

The much-anticipated awarding ceremony recognized outstanding contributions in research and innovation. Awards presented included Best Paper, Best Presenter, Best Research Project Award, Most Promising Young Researcher on SDGs, and Project Exhibit on Sustainability Award.
Baguio Central University (BCU) distinguished itself with several delegates receiving top honors: Antero Mappang Jr. secured both the Best Presenter and Best Paper under the Criminal Justice Education, Technology, and Public Administration category. Dr. Genevieve Kupang, from the Graduate School, was recognized as the Best Presenter award for her exceptional research contribution. Dr. Lourdes Trajano earned the Best Presenter title under Educational Technology, showcasing innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Kristel Dayami Alcantara, representing the College of Nursing and School of Midwifery, also received the Best Presenter award in Health Technology, highlighting impactful research in healthcare innovation.
A Call to Sustain the Momentum
The event closed with heartfelt closing remarks from Dr. Rosalie Sheryll T. Rosales, Research Director of WCC ATC Binalonan Campus. Dr. Rosales underscored the importance of sustaining the momentum generated by RISE 2025 and continuing the pursuit of research excellence aligned with global goals.
